Mexico Wedding: Gardenside Ceremony

Paige wrote this post on May 5, 2010, It was posted in the Miscellaneous section.

Did we tell you how their love began?  Cupid struck in Italy at a mutual friend’s wedding– Victoria from California and Matt from London soon after made moves to begin their happily ever after!

Details, details, details!  Matt and Victoria’s Mexico wedding was all about the details!  We had a complete blast incorporating bold, rich colors into the ceremony in the garden.

Hats off to our talented Sonia who had a distinct design vision after learning that Victoria had a love for peacock feathers and lace, and brought it to life when we arrived in Mexico.  It was so fun to watch her creative juices flow on the go!  Aimee provided the perfect execution of the details {a.k.a. ‘queen of embossing’!}.  We enjoyed every second of the ride!

Sit back, grab a margarita, and enjoy some of the details…

{remember her DIY fascinator?  it looked fabulous, don’t you think?}

{a closer glimpse at the details}

{sonia dreamed up an interactive idea: each guest grabbed a little bundle of bougainvillea (a.k.a. love blooms) when they arrived at the ceremony and placed it in a circle at the altar for the bride and groom to stand in during the ceremony.  sweet, sweet, sweet.}

Irja Elisa, the talented photographer based in San Francisco but very keen to shoot weddings worldwide {ditto}, turned around images to us literally HOURS after the celebration, as you can see!  We cannot thank you enough, Irja!  You did a phenomenal job and we’ll treasure your images forever and ever!

This wedding would of course not have been anything without the effervescent energy of beautiful Victoria and sweet, sweet Matt.  Their love began thousands of miles apart and their love story was cute as could be.  Very goosebump-worthy!  It was a pure joy to be in the presence of their ceremony, surrounded by the warm love of their closest friends and family.  We wish you a lifetime of love, laughter and adventure!

xo,

three amigas

  2. I can only imagine how much fun you ladies had! I’ve really enjoyed seeing the “behind the scenes” planning, and it’s awesome too see pics from the wedding. Wish I was there!! Adorable couple, what a great story!

  3. I loved every last detail that you worked so hard on. It was so nice to just get ready for the ceremony and relax and then walk out into the garden and see how it all came together. I loved that feeling, seeing it all for the first time and thinking, wow, all our brainstorming and planning came together so perfectly! It was exactly what I wanted plus a million!

  4. [...] job is the friendships that develop from working so closely with my brides.  Victoria and Matt got married in Mexico last year and we planned their wedding from London, and none of us had been to the site before!  [...]
